A sold-out Sydney show has prompted the new gigs

More The 1975 More The 1975

UK indie heartthrobs The 1975 have added a second performance each in Melbourne and Sydney to their impending January tour of the country, after the previously scheduled gig in the latter city followed the former to sold-out status.

Like the rest of the tour, the new shows will be licensed all-ages affairs, with Matty Healy and compatriots now taking to the stage of Melbourne's Festival Hall a second time on Sunday, January 11, and Sydney's Hordern Pavilion again on Friday, January 16.

There's no need to wait to get your hands on tickets, either — both the second Sydney and Melbourne shows are up for sale now. However, the recently announced Adelaide show, to be held at Thebarton Theatre on Saturday, January 10, won't open up for ticket purchases until 9am local time this Friday, September 5.

See the Gig Guide or check The Music App for a full list of dates, venues and ticketing information.
