The rest of Europe isn't exactly unimpressed by the Brissy band, either

More Sheppard More Sheppard

Brisbane-bred pop heroes Sheppard are still riding high on the success of their breakthrough single Geronimo, which, aside from charting in multiple European countries and (still) at home, has cracked the top ten on the Italian iTunes charts, currently sitting just outside the top five, at #6, after previously hitting as high as #4.

The track — which we refuse to believe you haven't heard, unless you've just returned from a three-year cave-diving expedition in the depths of the Amazon — is also sitting strongly in both Ireland and Poland, where it landed inside the top fifty at #49 and #36, respectively, and is enjoying a stint well inside the top 100 in Switzerland, where it notched up #66 for the week.

Australians remain enamoured of the track, grabbing #45 on the home-base iTunes ladder (it's in the low 30s on the ARIA equivalent), while our Kiwi neighbours are second only to the enthusiastic Mediterranean nation in lending their support to the song — it's sitting pretty just outside the top ten in New Zealand, at #12. Believe it or not, Geronimo's sparkling choruses and simple, memorable melody have now spent 23 weeks on the ARIA singles chart.

Sheppard created a second, international version of the accompanying clip for the single, and, if you're so inclined, you have a gander (and a listen, returned explorer) below.
