Gossling Announces End-Of-Year Aussie Tour

Precocious Melburnian songstress Gossling has revealed that she will be capping off a stellar year since the late 2013 release of her acclaimed debut full-length album Harvest Of Gold with an also-named six-date national tour this November.

The run of shows, which is proudly presented by The Music, come after nearly twelve months of consistently upward movement for the young singer-songwriter, who has spent the time since Harvest Of Gold’s release casually making inroads in the old kingdom and the US, where she appeared at the hallowed SXSW conference and showcase in Texas earlier this year, and got a nod from Time magazine. No big. Chuck in a few high-profile support slots next to the likes of Vance Joy and a performance with Colin Hay at this year’s APRA Awards, and you’re looking at a stage-ready, road-hardened young performer with some killer tunes in her back pocket and the experience to bring the goods.

Gossling will be doing that from November 6, when she kicks off her Harvest Of Gold tour at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel. From there, she’ll take the show through Adelaide, Perth, Sydney (twice) and Brisbane (also twice) before shooting up to conclude the celebrations at Darwin Railway Club on Friday, November 21.

In celebration of the tour, Gossling is dropping a special digital-only edition of the album, which includes a bonus EP of new and previously unreleased tunes – and, yes, that includes her truly excellent covers of Santa Monica, by Everclear (that’s a name we haven’t heard in a while), and, more contemporarily, recent touring mate Vance Joy’s chart-killing single Riptide.

For every show but the Perth appearance (sorry, Perth), Gossling will be joined by fellow prodigious performer Montaigne, aka Jessica Cerro, who you may remember as one of the talented finalists of 2012’s triple j Unearthed High competition, with her indie-pop gem Anyone But Me. She’s been hard at work developing her skills since, and with a debut EP (Life Of Montaigne) behind her and another single ready to set toes in motion (I Am Not An End), Montaigne’s quickly maturing arrangements and performances stand to make her a more-than-capable support.
