Airling, Basenji, Briggs, Smith Street Band also added
The anticipated debut album from Melbourne's Vance Joy has been named triple j's feature album for next week as sixth other local tracks will be added to the playlist next week.
There'll be plenty spins of Vance's Dream Your Life Away, while up-and-comer Airling (who announced her first headline shows yesterday) will also have her track Wasted Pilots given a fair flog. New Future Classic signing Basenji will see Heirloom spun on full rotation, as will Briggs with Bad Apples. The latter is a recent NIMA winner and his album Sheplife is a possible top 20 debut on the ARIA charts this week.
Moving towards their new album, The Smith Street Band's Surrender also gets the full rotation treatment.
Melbourne's Bored Nothing land themselves spot play with Ice-Cream Dreams, as do BIGSOUND-bound Sydneybased Mansionair with Hold Me Down — a track that's been kicking around since January (and racked up over a million plays in that time).
