More Allday More Allday

Fledgling Victorian camping festival Beyond The Valley has expanded its inaugural line-up with the just-announced addition of maturing hip-hopper Allday to its ranks, making it "now officially the best New Year's festival line-up," according to the Startup Cult scribe.

Taking to Facebook earlier this afternoon to self-publicise the addition, Allday enthusiastically revealed he had joined the forthcoming Phillip Island event, which already boasts an impressive array of acts on offer, including Action Bronson, Ball Park Music, Basenji, Collarbones, Fractures, Ganz, Golden Features, Husky, Midnight Juggernauts, Motez, Nina Las Vegas, Peking Duk, Pond, The Preatures, Rufus and many more.

The extra attraction comes hand-in-hand with a second announcement from the event — that of the details of its ultra-lush glamping options, to ensure that modern festival-goers need never "rough it" in the truest sense of the word if they don't damn well want to.

Far from being a fancy way to describe getting a slightly nicer tent, the comprehensive glamping packages on offer at Beyond The Valley include bell tent options in the ultra-shmick ‘Lux Camp’, which include double beds and 1000-thread-count Egyptian-cotton sheets – like we said, fancy stuff  - with prices going up in total (but down per person) the larger the tent, from $580 a pop for three peeps in a Luxury Bell tent, up to $425 each for six punters in a King Bell.

If you’re after something a little more mid-range but still definitively lush, the festival’s series of tipis offer a flexible arrangement and sizing plan, structured similarly as above, with an eighteen-foot tipi poised to set you back $340 each for five people, or the 20- or 22-foot models, which both sleep ten, costing $215 and $230 a person respectively.

The Lux Camp prices include a full buffet breakfast, daily housekeeping and amenities that are shared only among your fellow glamping enthusiasts. Picture it.

That’s not all, either – additional options include the festival’s Hangover Spa, which will fill you up with coconut water and hospital-grade oxygen, deck you out in comfy slippers, ice packs, rehydrating facial masks, and give you the opportunity to take in a massage or kick back with some rehydration fluid for good measure.

A shade under $700 will get you and up to eight of your friends your own tent-add-on Jacuzzi, while a paltry $75 will give you access to what Beyond The Valley calls a “Yay Box” – a recovery care package with rehydrating drinks, sunscreen, face masks and other pampering goodies galore.

There are even more super-comfy options available at your fingertips; head over to the event website to get a total rundown on the various ways you can wake up renewed to tackle the two-day Beyond The Valley festival, this December 30-31 at Phillip Island.
