Keep an ear to the ground for future show announcements
The great thing about a band such as Sydney's The Rumjacks is, straight from the get-go, you know what you're in for, and that kind of magnetic, upfront honesty is the exact kind of quality that has helped to see the band today be announced as the newest signing to Troubadour Music's management roster.
The New-South-Welsh folk-punks — who, over the course of their time together, have garnered comparisons to The Pogues, Billy Bragg, The Dropkick Murphys; y'know, that general scene of hard-partyin', hard-drinkin', ambiguously Celtic anti-authoritarian flag-bearers of camaraderie and getting shitfaced — have been spending a bit of time in the studio recording their new album lately, and plan to set out on a series of shows in the near future, so the deal comes at a generally fortuitous time in the band's career.
Although nothing's locked in stone yet, keep an eye out for more news from The Rumjacks' camp in the very near future as they look to capitalise on all the many benefits afforded them through their new deal with Troubadour.
