Just in time to announce a bunch of shows for their Brit fans
Melburnian buzz band APES continue their meteoric year with the announcement that they have become the newest signing to UK-based booking agency 13 Artists – as well as laying down a string of British tour dates – mere weeks after the release of their most recent single, Pull The Trigger.
The signing is a feat made no less impressive – though perhaps less surprising – given the kind of acclaim APES have been building for themselves back in the motherland, with high-profile backing coming from esteemed figures such as Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens (not that Aussies have been shy with heaping love in APES’ direction, helping them to capably fill their two recent single launch shows in Sydney and Melbourne).
Their place among the 13 Artists roster sees them join an enviable line-up of acts that includes Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, Interpol and Radiohead among its heavyweight division, as well as fellow Aussies The Jezabels and Tame Impala.
“We are truly honoured to become part of the 13 Artists family,” enthused vocalist/guitarist Ben Dowd in a statement. “These guys work with so many of our favourite bands and the quality of their work shows through in the high-calibre acts they represent. Can't wait to see what the future brings!”

Neither can we – but before we worry too much about the distant horizon, let’s deal first with more pressing concerns: APES will be making the trip to Brissy for the impending BIGSOUND conference and showcase in September.
See the Gig Guide or check The Music App for all the details before APES take off, England adopts them, and we never see them again.
Hey, it could happen.
