The upcoming CMC Rocks North Qld has undergone some changes today, announcing a move to a smaller venue as a result of less-than-stellar tickets sales.

Organisers released a statement today on the decision, with CMC to move from its original home of Reid Park to Townsville Entertainment And Convention Centre. The line-up has also been downgraded to cater to the change.

"Festival promoters are committed to the CMC Rocks events, with this being the third North QLD instalment since its first appearance in 2010. However, due to less than expected ticket sales, they have been forced to downsize this year’s event and move to a concert venue," the statement read.

The new venue means that the line-up side of things has changed with only five artists locked in to perform. They are Gary Allan, The Mavericks, Blackjack Billy, Morgan Evans and Karrie Hayward.
