Previous best-performer Sia gets pipped after enjoying a week at #1

More Sheppard More Sheppard

Ubiquitous Brisbane-bred popsters Sheppard have toppled enigmatic songstress Sia from the summit of the Carlton Dry Independent Music Charts as their first full-length record Bombs Away netted itself top position upon debut, knocking Sia's 1000 Forms Of Fearlast week's best performer — down a notch to #2.

A similar switch between the artists took place on Carlton Dry's Singles chart, where Sheppard's Geronimo re-assumes pole position, with Sia still strong in #2 with Chandelier. The top positions are consistent across both the Independent Labels Through Independent Distribution and Independent Labels Through Any Distribution categories.

On the albums front, the indies-through-indies chart shows Pierce Brothers LP The Night Tree moving up a spot to #3, a placing occupied by Hillsong and No Other Name on the indies-through-any rankings, while Chet Faker's Built On Glass straddles both at #4.

Further album debuts this week come from Stu Larson, whose Vagabond earns him a top-five placing on the indies-through-indies, where he's joined by fellow debutant Luluc and Passerby at #10.
