Ride the wave
Rising Sydney pop-rockers Little Sea must be feeling pretty darn special, announced today as the first official signing to Careless Management, the brand new joint venture between renowned Aussie managers Luke Girgis (Chance Waters, Mind Over Matter) and Matt Cannings (L-FRESH The LION, Chance Waters).
Under the experienced tutelage of the administrative pairing, Little Sea are more than ever able to capitalise on their growing momentum, encapsulated by the fact they have already sold out a planned east-coast tour of the country and have pre-orders for their debut EP, Wake The Sun, in the Top 20 on iTunes here (and, kind of incredibly, in Mexico) and the Top 50 across the ditch in New Zealand.
“Little Sea are captivating songwriters,” Girgis said of the signing in a statement.
“Their hooks, lyrics and melodies are simply exceptional. I am extremely thrilled to be working with such a talented band, they're the pop-rock group I have been waiting years for.”

Wake The Sun will be released in just over a month, on Friday, August 25, which is a pretty amazing turnaround when you consider that Little Sea first convened only five months ago, using the power of social media to obtain a massive reach and snag fans in the US and UK in an eye-poppingly quick period of time.
Keep an eye out for the clip for their lead single The Lucky Ones, which drops tomorrow.
Little Sea’s three-date all-ages east-coast tour kicks off at The Metro Lair in Sydney this Saturday. See the Gig Guide or check The Music App for a full list of venues, date and ticketing information.
You don't have long to wait for the new goods, but here's the band's previous effort for good measure:
