The ticket ballot is now open!

Meredith Music Festival has revealed its first artist for 2014, with Philadelphia natives The War On Drugs leading the way this year.

The indie rock outfit, lead by Adam Granduciel, released their most recent album Lost In A Dream earlier this year, their first in three years. Granduciel and co. have visited Australia several times so there's no doubt fans will be excited to hear the band’s new material in a live setting.

Also with that taste of the Meredith bill comes the other big news for the festival – the ticket ballot is now open! Keen punters can enter the ballot here, but will need to by the precise time of 9:47pm on Monday 11 August. Only one type of ticket is available — the Full Meredith Experience, as Aunty Meredith likes to call it. Three days, two nights with camping including, all for $318.80 plus a $10 booking fee.

The festival will take place at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre from Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 December.
