Merry early Christmas, everyone
The Sydney Opera House is making a special effort to get into the Christmas spirit way early, with the announcement that British music icon Damon Albarn will be performing a second show in the venue's Concert Hall when visiting the country this December.
Orchestrated to match “overwhelming” demand for a chance to see the legendary performer in action, the second show will be staged on Tuesday, December 16, and will see the ultra-polite Albarn supported by his live band The Heavy Seas (as well as string quartet and six-piece choir) and find him in a celebratory mood, marking the recent release of his new solo album, Everyday Robots.
Tickets are available now via the Opera House directly.

Albarn's performances form part of the Music At The House program, an itinerary of contemporary music conceived by the Opera House to bring a modern touch to its hallowed halls. The program has previously featured performances from the likes of The Jezabels, Iron & Wine, Buddy Guy and Charlie Musselwhite, The National, Flying Lotus, Grizzly Bear, BIGSOUND speaker Neil Finn, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and more.
Impending performances will come from a collective of ampersand enthusiasts: Angus & Julia Stone, Boy & Bear and City & Colour.
