Iggy Azalea and Sia make their mark on the UK

More Sia XXX More Sia XXX

Local ladies Iggy Azalea and Sia have both debuted strongly in this week's UK singles chart, with Azalea sitting at number one thanks to her Ariana Grande collaboration Problem.

The rapper has enjoyed a whole heap of success overseas, particularly in the States, but has maintained steady momentum in the UK as well, thanks to her other song of the moment Fancy and album The New Classic, which debuted in the UK top five a few months back. Fancy is still performing well in the UK 100 too, landing at 20 this week.

While Problem sits at one, singer-songwriter Sia has also emerged in the UK singles chart with her current anthem Chandelier, which debuted at six. Her new album 1000 Forms Of Fear was released locally last week.

Aussie boy band 5 Seconds Of Summer have just missed out on the top UK album this week too, with their self-titled record debuting in second spot behind English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. The lads are currently at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart, but have also taken out the number position in New Zealand, Italy, Ireland and Holland. 5SOS also have several singles still charting in the UK, including Don't Stop at 14 and She Looks So Perfect at 23.
