And Justice Crew aim to have Australia’s biggest ever single
Sydney-raised pop punk boy band world-beaters 5 Seconds Of Summer are almost unbackable favourites to take the number one spot on this week's ARIA Albums Chart.
Their selftitled album has posted a strong showing in midweek charts and the band's pre-sales, which are expected to be sizeable, have not yet been counted in ARIA figures. Based upon the strength of their single sales and current profile they could be a contender for the biggest first-week sales of the year come Saturday when the charts are released.
Even if current number one Ed Sheeran's X or Coldplay's Ghost Stories can pull off an unlikely surge to keep them from to spot, 5 Seconds Of Summer will be the top debut ahead of the latest album from megachurch Hillsong. Their latest release, No Other Name, is a top five hopeful at this point – ahead of Jersey Boys: Music From The Motion Picture And Broadway Musical and Seether's Isolate And Medicate.
It's a quiet week for new releases, as most try to stay away from the 5 Seconds Of Summer juggernaut. There's still plenty of movement though as deadmau5's While(1<2) climbs closer to the top ten from 16 and the on-tour Chet Faker is benefiting from increased sales for his number one record Built On Glass. Sitting at 26, it'll rebound into the top 15 perhaps, definitely the top 20.

Other albums having good weeks are Harrison Craig's L.O.V.E., Russell Morris' Van Diemen's Land and Illy's Cinematic.
Last week Justice Crew equalled the record for the longest running number one on the Singles Chart, with Que Sera joining Gotye & Kimbra's Somebody That I Used To Know (2011), Savage Garden's Truly, Madly, Deeply (1997) and Austen Tayshus' Australiana (1983). One more week and the record is theirs, but it's very tight at the top with Coldplay's A Sky Full Of Stars and The Madden Brothers' We Are Done.
While it's too close to call at this point, Sia's Chandelier is the week's biggest mover and will jump from eight right into contention. It previously peaked at two.
The top debut will come from Hilltop Hoods' Won't Let You Down, which could land a top 10 to 15 position, with Alison Wonderland's I Want U hoping for a top 30 and Sheppard's Something's Missing a top 50.
Other strong sellers this week include Ed Sheeran's Don't, Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea's Problem, Charli XCX's Boom Clap, two 5 Seconds Of Summer singles in Don't Stop and She Looks So Perfect and Ella Henderson's Ghost.
