World-beating pop luminary Lorde has sold out her first Festival Hall show in Melbourne, mere days before she sets off on her eagerly awaited national tour.

Although Victorian punters can still get tickets for her second appearance on July 16, the July 15 show is officially off the table, with both Sydney shows at the Hordern Pavilion hot on its heels and down to their final few remaining passes.

Joined by special guests Safia, the Royals and Tennis Court hit-maker has had a mind-boggling past 12 months, her meteoric trajectory cemented with a last-minute fill-in appearance at last year's Splendour In The Grass festival.

She has gone on to become an internationally touring, APRA Award, Grammy, Billboard and Silver Scroll-winning, multi-million copy-selling bona fide celebrity, and with her schedule now looking like it does, it's unsurprising that these are slated to be her last shows in Oz for a while to come.
