Twenty Two Hundred are going to Wembley, among other massive stages

Melbourne/Byron Bay/LA-based rock outfit Twenty Two Hundred have been named as one of two support acts on Slash's upcoming tour of the United Kingdom.

The ascendent Aussie rockers will be joined in the openers' role by US middle-aged upstarts California Breed, who dropped their self-titled debut in May, when Slash And The Conspirators - featuring Myles Kennedy, Brent Fitz and Todd Kerns - hit Britain in November and December.

"This is such an amazing opportunity," Twenty Two Hundred's bass-playing, songwriting founder Mark Wells said in a statement.

"Slash could have chosen any number of kick-ass bands. We were invited to join them on this leg of the tour and I'm looking forward to returning with Twenty Two Hundred and giving UK audiences a KILLER show!"

They'll play such renowned venues as Manchester's Phones 4u Arena, Leeds' first direct Arena, the LG Arena in Birmingham, SSE Arena Wembley in London, and Glasgow's SSE Hydro, putting them front and centre in front of thousands of potential new fans.

Twenty Two Hundred released their debut LP, Carnaval De Vénus, in early 2013. Slash And The Conspirators will release Slash's third solo effort World on Fire, the follow-up to 2012's Apocalyptic Love, in September.
