Having emerged as one of Australia's biggest rock bands in the past six months, Brisbane's Violent Soho have inked a deal with renowned US punk label SideOneDummy Records.

The band's local representatives confirmed to theMusic.com.au this morning that the deal will see Soho's critically acclaimed Hungry Ghost released in America 29 September.

Early on in their career the band long stints in the US having signed to Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace! label before returning home and being reinvigorated after signing to Mushroom's I OH YOU label.

SideOneDummy, renowned for being a punk and ska powerhouse thanks to bands like Flogging Molly and its Warped Tour compilations, has acts including Chuck Ragan and Anti-Flag on their roster.
