The media and production company will merge with digital agency Igloo as part of the rebrand

MCM Media, one of the country's foremost media, entertainment and production companies, revealed today that it is set to relaunch its brand as Authentic Entertainment.

Forming part of the organisation's wider merger with digital agency Igloo, the relaunch marks the dawn of a new era for the freshly unified marketing service as they continue to tackle immersive projects such as the recent Rebel Beats app and Red Cross Blood Service “Share Your Awesome” campaign.

With more than 50 years' experience between the two businesses, Authentic Entertainment is well placed to develop its position as a leading connector of brands and consumers.

“As the name suggests, Authentic will represent an original – a unique marketing resource created with our customers and consumers needs in mind,” Authentic chief executive John Wardley said in a statement.

The new company has a solid central nervous system behind it, with executive positions being filled by marketing and industry experts from top to tail, including new CEO Wardley, strategy and marketing director Jonathan Hopkins, digital director Chris Derrick, sales director Danika Johnson and broadcast director Sam Thompson. Another role – creative director – is yet to be filled.
