The 'Girls' funnywoman provides a unique visual interpretation of the Aussie singer's 'Chandelier'
Notoriously spotlight-shy Australian songstress Sia has made another appearance on the US talk-show circuit, this time on NBC evening staple Late Night With Seth Meyers.
True to her enigmatic form, though, Sia only provided the live vocal work for the performance of recent single Chandelier, spending the entire time lying face-down in a high-set bed on-stage. For visual variety, Girls creator and "voice of a generation" Lena Dunham was brought in to provide her own dance-based interpretation of the song.
Eschewing the limitations of simply being a surrogate for the motionless singer early on, Dunham transcends from simple lip-syncing to prop- and set-aided choreography that at times falls directly in the blurry fracture between obvious satire and serious art... and then she starts gallavanting about with bedside toilet paper.
Maybe you should just watch it. That seems like it would be best.

Although Sia had previously indicated she would be abstaining from promotional activities for her upcoming album 1000 Forms Of Fear - which is out on July 4 via Monkey Puzzle/Inertia - this, in addition to her aforelinked appearance on The Ellen Show (here it is again) suggests that she may (may) have had a change of heart after all.
