"Oh, man! Buskers? I LOVE BUSKERS! HUH-YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAHHHHH!"

More Aerosmith More Aerosmith

Picture this: you're busking with a friend in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, on an ordinary, sunny day, when you decide to bust out a folksy, string-based cover of Aerosmith's Crazy. Plenty of buskers have made that decision before, probably, but it's a fair bet that very few of them then had to contend with Steven Tyler himself wandering up to them and yelping insane vocals along with them.

Yet that's exactly what happened to the two musos in this video, who were pretty happily doing their thing before Tyler invited himself to the party and started shouting non-sequiturs about being on the streets of Vilnius in-between raspy, off-key attempts at making the performers' cover truly obtain that rockin' Aerosmith flavour.

Seriously, did you hear that? What in the hell is going on at 1:07-1:12, where he's apparently trying to shatter all glass objects in a kilometre radius and make every dog in the area hate his stupid guts? He's not even singing at that point; it's like he's trying to do his best imitation of the world's most fucking annoying tea kettle.

And that's before he gets all up close and bothersome, hanging over one of the buskers' shoulders, because he is Steven Tyler and why would that make her uncomfortable?

On the other hand, this kind of encouragement from and interaction with an (admittedly post-decline) icon of rock, regardless of how off-putting it was at the time, has got to be at least a little bit validating for those musicians -- and if the end result is that videos like this can exist and be shared around the world so people can unite in tear-stained amusement at the borderline psychotic behaviour of an ageing rock star, then more power to them.
