Demand for inaugural vlogging event effortlessly surpassed organisers' expectations

The inaugural YouTube FanFest to be held in Sydney this month has announced that it has officially sold out.

The event, organised by the online video streaming service in conjunction with Chugg Entertainment and Branded Ltd, is being held on Saturday, May 31, at Luna Park, but as a response to reaching capacity the promoters have revealed plans for a special “preview” show to be held at Luna Park's Big Top on Thursday, May 29, and hosted by Austereo drive DJ Maz Compton, of The Dan & Maz Show.

In collaboration with global drinks behemoth Coca-Cola, the preview performance gives anyone who purchases a ticket the chance to bring a friend with them for free, which at $64 (+b/f) is nothing at which to turn up your nose.

YouTube FanFest will present a raft of established and rising stars of the platform from Australia and around the world, and follows successful stints in Singapore this and last year as well as in Mumbai this March gone.

Tickets for the preview performance go on sale 10am tomorrow (May 20) via Ticketmaster. More information is available at the event's website.
