The Cockroaches are playing two Sydney shows next month

Before they were they were entertaining kids all over the world with Hot Potato and the like, The Wiggles, or more accurately, a couple of their members were part of 80s pub rock outfit The Cockroaches.

It's been around 25 years since the band - who feature Jeff Fatt and Anthony Field of The Wiggles - played live, so the announcement that they're playing two headline Sydney shows next month might come as a surprise (albeit, a happy one) for their fans.

The Cockroaches will play Dee Why RSL on Saturday 14 June and Rooty Hill RSL on Friday 27 June, with tickets on sale now from $30.

Fans can also get the greatest hits compilation Hey Let's Go! The Best Of The Cockroaches plus their full back catalogue digitally released from Friday 13 June.
