Quartet will take 'Beautiful Wild' to all corners of the country
Fresh from their sold-out launch of new album Beautiful Wild at the Corner Hotel this past Friday, alternative Melbourne quartet BONJAH have revealed they will be embarking on a massive tour around the country in support of the record's release.
The Australian tour, proudly presented by theMusic, will undoubtedly give the band some comfort to in the wake of the news that they have had to postpone planned shows in Germany and the UK “due to personal family reasons”, as explained in an apology post on their Facebook wall late last night.
However, there's no mistaking the enthusiasm that exists for the foursome's sonic flavours, given that Friday's launch well and truly sold out in pre-sales – more than 800 tickets.
You can expect a similar response for the shows on the Beautiful Wild tour, which kick off in Melbourne on July 4 and 5 at the Cherry Bar and Yah Yah's, respectively, before heading up to Darwin, down to Traralgon, through Wagga Wagga and across to WA for a string of shows there – Whitfords, Scarborough, Perth, Dunsborough – before heading east again to Tasmania, back through NSW and VIC, and ending up in Queensland for the tour's final show at Surfers Paradidse's Surfers Beer Garden on October 12, more than three months after the band sets out on this coast-to-coast odyssey.
