Plus an extra date in Melbourne and venue change in Sydney

The Perth show on the upcoming joint tour of American alt-R&B singer Janelle Monáe and Kiwi sonsgtress Kimbra has been cancelled, along with a venue change to the Sydney show and an extra date in Melbourne.

In a statement released today by Live Nation, the Perth cancellation was put down to the pair's "tight tour schedule", which is also why the show will not be rescheduled for another date.

The duo were set to perform at Challenge Stadium on Friday 16 May. Tickets can be refunded at their point of purchase.

Melbourne will get the chance to see the ladies perform twice, this time at Forum Theatre on Saturday 17 May, while Sydney fans will now watch them on-stage at Sydney Opera House instead of the originally announced Hordern Pavilion. Ticket-holders of that show will be sent their new tickets via email.
