Courtney Barnett Plays Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show

Australian artists stormed US TV screens on Thursday night as both Courtney Barnett and Cut Copy made appearances on competing late night shows.

Barnett made her American TV debut on NBC's The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the newest and, now, highest rating of the shows. 

Barnett performed Avant Gardener with her band inbetween Fallon plugging her current US release and later shaking hands with her. The episode screens here on Monday - Comedy Channel at 5.30pm and ABC2 at 7.30pm (other guests on the show are James Van Der Beek and Dr Phil).

Over on ABC, Cut Copy performed Meet Me In A House Of Love on Jimmy Kimmel Live's outdoor stage.

Another Aussie guests with Fallon next week as Keith Urban appears on Monday night (Tuesday night here on Comedy Channel, Wednesday night on ABC2). Other musical guests on Fallon's show next week include David Byrne, The Both and Chvrches.
