Australia's favourite brother/sister duo Angus & Julia Stone have announced the release of their new self-titled album.

The folk duo enlisted the legendary Rick Rubin to produce their third album - out Friday 1 August via EMI -  recording it in Rubin's Shangri-La studios in Malibu, California, initiating the pair's new deal with Rubin's America Recordings label overseas.

“This album is extraordinary; Angus and Julia are truly unique musicians. They are authentic and pure people who do things from the heart. I've never worked with anyone like them before,” Rubin said of the collaboration.

The album has been described as pure Angus & Julia Stone, making it aptly titled, but will see the duo explore their authentic sound with new found depth and experimental sounds.
