More Short Stack More Short Stack

One of Australia's most polarising bands of the past decade, pop-punk pushers Short Stack are back.

Defined by simple hooks and an absolutely fucking rabid early-teen fanbase, the band broke up in 2012 after having a number one record Stack Is The New Black in 2009. That was followed up with 2010's This Is Bat Country (peaked at six, but also went Gold).

The band's split came as they were recording their third album but have since “made amends and are creatively back on track and itching to get back on the road and re-connect with their legion of dedicated fans.”

Frontman Shaun Diviney released a solo EP, Sex Games, during the break… it might have passed you by.

The announcement of their comeback is coupled with new single Television, and so far it seems that despite the fact their fanbase has got old (at least 16 or 17 by now) they've stuck with them. Television  is currently top of the iTunes rock songs charts, just above INXS' Never Tear Us Apart.

There's also shows in Sydney and Melbourne planned, dates in theGuide below.
