Flying Lotus' Labelmate Taylor McFerrin Announces Release Date Of First LP

The rising star has will release the record via Flying Lotus' new album

Brooklyn based producer/DJ/live musician, Taylor McFerrin is set to release his first full-length album come Friday 30 May.

The highly anticipated LP entitled Early Riser will be available via Flying Lotus' very own music label, Brainfeeder via Interia. The up and comer's announcement comes on the back of the record's first single The Antidote featuring Nai Palm of Melbourne's Hiatus Kaiyote. The track alone has already seen close to 100,000 plays on SoundCloud.

Taylor McFerrin's style is equally influenced by the legends of 60s/70s Soul, the kings of the Modern Beat Generation, Golden Era hip hop, free form jazz and electronic music. In his home base of New York City, he has opened up for artists such as Erykah Badu, The Roots, Nas, Talib Kweli and Robert Glasper.

The musician is also the son of Don't Worry, Be Happy hitmaker Bobby McFerrin.
