God bless Australia
Brisbane's (read: Mansfield 4122's) Violent Soho will embark on what they're calling their biggest national tour to date this July, with Melbourne punk poets The Smith Street Band along for the ride - presented by theMusic.com.au.
Last year Soho released the highlight of their decade-long career as a band with the record Hungry Ghost – a pretty big call given their story so far. But widely regarded as one of the best Australian records of 2013 (across all genres) and spawning triple j hits like Covered In Chrome Violent Soho are thriving in being based back in Australia in recent years.
For this run which will hit the east coast, Adelaide and Perth, Melbourne's The Smith Street Band will be joining them on all dates. There's few bands on Australia's circuit that resonate with an audience as well as these guys do. Don't fuck with this line-up.
Tickets go on sale 9am Friday 4 April. Dates in The Guide below.
