More INXS More INXS

It seems the country's love affair with INXS in the aftermath of their mini-series isn't slowing down anytime soon, with the band reclaiming this week's number one album off Aussie darling Kylie Minogue

The band's compilation The Very Best returned to the top spot (its fifth non-consecutive week at number one), pushing Minogue's Kiss Me Once down to six after just a week at number one. Minogue - and her famous love affair with Michael Hutchence - featured in the INXS biopic Never Tear Us Apart, where she was portrayed by singer Samantha Jade. INXS also remain at the top of the Music DVD Chart with Live Baby Live.

Pharrell Williams climbed back to number two with is former number one album G  I  R  L, while the soundtrack to the Oscar-winning animated film Frozen was back up to third. EDM kingpin Skrillex pushed up from fifth to fourth with Recess (it's the top-selling digital album though), while Katy Perry's Prism moved up again to five.

There were a number of international debuts this week as predicted, with emo-rock stalwarts My Chemical Romance scoring the highest for the week at 11 with May Death Never Stop You. Other notable overseas debuts included: Avicii (True: Avicii By Avicii) at 16, Aloe Blacc (Lift Your Spirit) at 19, The Pretty Reckless (Going To Hell) at 20, Enrique Iglesias (Sex And Love) at 23 and La Dispute (Rooms Of The House) at 43.

In the Singles Chart, Brisbane's Sheppard and Melbourne rapper Illy scored the week's highest debuts. The former's current pop gem Geronimo came in at 28 while the MC's collaboration with Scarlett Stevens - Tightrope - nabbed 39th spot. And, expat songwriting phenom Sia's latest Chandelier was a big climber, moving up to 13 from 39.

Aussie pop rock boys, and previous One Direction support act, 5 Seconds Of Summer scored their first number one single with She Looks So Perfect - the first local single to reach the top in 2014. It brings Pharrell's Happy 11-week run at the top to an end for now - slipping only to two (it's still number one in digital sales though). Clean Bandit's current radio fave with Jess Glynne - Rather Be - came in third this week (and remains atop the Streaming Tracks Chart).

Topping other charts: triple j's Hottest 100 Vol 21 set is still the number one compilation album while the Motez, Andy Van, Tommie Sunshine and Disco Fries remixes of Madison Avenue's 1999 club hit Don't Call Me Baby sit at number one on the Club Chart.
