You can't afford it
Wu-Tang Clan, one of the world's best known rap collectives, have recorded a new double-album in secret and it's a record that you almost certainly will never own.
The world knew that Wu-Tang were working on a new album, and A Better Tomorrow is still “coming soon”. But the band have now revealed that they've completed a secret double album The Wu – One Upon A Time In Shaolin.
The kicker? They're only going to sell one copy.
Housed in a box handcrafted by artist Yahya, the band are set to tour the album around festivals, galleries and museums where punters can listen on headphones before it is sold – like a piece of art – to one collector.

The band's Robert 'RZA' Diggs tells Forbes, “We're about to put out a piece of art like nobody else has done in the history of [modern] music. We're making a single-sale collector's item. This is like somebody having the scepter of an Egyptian king.”
After fans have had their go on the tour (dates and locations for which are not confirmed) and pass through heavy security to ensure the record doesn't leak onto the net, RZA says they expect to sell the record for “millions”.
The record is understood to be completed and just needs to be burnt onto the disc that will go inside the silver box. It's been in the works since the late 2000s, with Tarik 'Cilvaringz' Azzougarh the album's primary producer.
“I know it sounds crazy,” Cilvaringz said. “It might totally flop, and we might be completely ridiculed. But the essence and core of our ideas is to inspire creation and originality and debate, and save the music album from dying.”
Cue a crowdfunding effort by someone who promises to leak it if they win the bid to buy it. More details on the album here.
