The festival expands in its second year.

More Parkway Drive More Parkway Drive

Under 18s festival Live It Up had a triumphant first showing in Brisbane in 2013, so the organisers have decided to do it again and go even bigger and better for the line up for their second event, securing some of the finest Australian rock bands currently on the scene to play.

Headlining proceedings will be Byron Bay worldbeaters Parkway Drive, without doubt Australia's biggest heavy music export of recent times and one of the most well-loved metalcore bands on the planet right now. It has been a while since the band dropped their most recent record Atlas, so maybe Live It Up will see them showcase new material? One way to find out.

Violent Soho became one of Australia's favourite rock bands in 2013 with the release of their killer Hungry Ghost LP. The band were already well-loved before this release, having been together many years and releasing a couple of full-length records, but this album saw them come into their own and showed plenty of people that this is a band to be reckoned with.

Brisbane indie favourites The Jungle Giants will add Live It Up to the list of festivals they've dazzled once the 2014 event is done, metalcore masters In Hearts Wake (who have a new record out soon) will get the pit writhing, one of Aussie hip hop's brightest up-and-coming stars in the making Allday will also stir up plenty of excitement, while hotly tipped up and comers The Creases and Lunatics On Pogosticks round out the bill.
