More Hand Of Mercy More Hand Of Mercy

Sydney hardcore five-piece Hand Of Mercy have parted ways with their vocalist Scott Bird.

The band have released a statement saying that, “It is with a heavy heart that we unfortunately tell you we have had to part ways with our singer and friend Scott Bird.

“This is not a decision that was made lightly,” they add, “there is no bad blood and sometimes life takes you down different roads, Hand Of Mercy just didn't happen to be on Scott's path.”

The band's last album was Last Lights, released in August 2012, and have recently whittled down 15 songs to form their next record, which will be their third. They played Warped Tour last year.

“Change can be scary but it can also be very exciting and we are really excited about everything we have coming up,” they said.

“We wish [Bird] the best of luck with all his future endeavours and thank him for all the times we have shared with him.”

The band are due to headline free all ages show 'Bubafest' in Sutherland Sunday 12 April, with an announcement on who will be singing with them expected soon.
