Hardcore Superstar No Longer Coming To Soundwave

It appears as if another band has withdrawn from this year's Soundwave line up, with Swedish hard rockers Hardcore Superstar removed from all Soundwave timetables. The band reportedly refused to fulfil their commitment to the festival if their onstage time was not changed.

The first hints of the band pulling out came from Soundwave boss AJ Maddah on Monday night.

So Hardcore Superstar have just threatened to cancel if they don't get a late spot. Being Superstars and all that.

He then intimated that the band would be replaced by Australian acts.

All in all, Maddah seemed unperturbed by the cancellation.

No official statement has been made at this time, but a rather definitive answer was given to the question on twitter last night.

Hardcore Superstar boast a large fanbase in their native Sweden, with a large string of hits like Honey Tongue, Beg For It and Bastards seeing the band achieve wide mainstream success and reach the top five of the Swedish singles charts.

The band join Sevendust, Stone Temple Pilots, Megadeth, Whitechapel and Desaparecidos, who have all pulled out of the festival for a variety of reasons in recent weeks.

It does not appear as if the band has been replaced in any state at this stage.
