Alex Lloyd Re-Works 'Coming Home' For Richmond AFL Club

Singer-songwriter Alex Lloyd will re-release one of his best known tracks, Coming Home, later this week but it will be a slightly different version of the 2003 song.

The muso has teamed up with the Richmond AFL club re-create the track to to fit the footy club's theme for their 2014 season, which is Strong And Bold: Bring The Roar Home.

Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said Lloyd's song "resonates strongly" with what the club wanted to achieve this year.

"We are thrilled to be able to work with an artist of the calibre of Alex Lloyd, whose original Coming Home song resonates strongly with our themes for the 2014 season."

The track - Coming Home To Richmond - will be officially released this Friday 21 February and fans can pre-order it now.

Proceeds from the song's sales will go towards Richmond's charity partner The Alannah And Madeline Foundation, which assists and protects children against violence and bullying.

Lloyd released his latest album Urban Wilderness this past October.
