Trio's debut EP out March

Relatively unknown Sydney trio DMA's have signed to the I Oh You label, with the Mushroom Group imprint set to announce the acquisition this morning.

Despite never having played a show or 'properly' released a track, the band have inked a deal and will release their first EP – which will be self-titled – through I Oh You this March. This first taste from that is a track called Delete, a nostalgic largely acoustic number that showcases glimpses of their '90s Britpop influences.

Made up of Tommy O', Matt Mason and Johnny Took the Newtown-based band join the likes of Violent Soho, DZ Deathrays, Snakadaktal and City Calm Down on the I Oh You roster. The label is run by Johann Ponniah.

Formerly known as Dirty Ma's, when they released a track called Play It Out last year, the DMA's EP was recorded in the guitarist Johnny Took's bedroom and will be released Friday 28 March.
