The service arrives in Aus half a year after its official launch

Apple has officially launched iTunes Radio in Australia, with the free service accessible across all Apple platforms including iPhones, iPads, Macs and AppleTV.

The service will give people access to over 100 radio stations, plus artist catalogues and new music each week. iTunes Radio has also been programmed to personalise itself based on what you have listened to previously or have downloaded in the past and artist curated playlists are also available.

Other features include offering listeners the chance to hear exclusive tracks or full album streams, as well as live streaming of performances and iTunes sessions. If customers want to avoid hearing ads, they'll need to sign up to iTunes Match, which costs $34.99 per year.

iTunes Radio joins a long list of music streaming services that are now available here in Australia, including Pandora, Rdio, Deezer and Spotify. It was first launched in the US mid last year and at that point, no set plans were announced regarding its launch in Australia.
