Big things just keep on happening for Melbourne singer-songwriter Vance Joy, following his recent win in the triple j Hottest 100 and top ten UK single with another solid performance on a different chart in the biggest music territory in the world.

Riptide has been moving up the US Adult Alternative Songs chart the past few weeks, last week it liftied from 15 to 13, which is where it remains this week. Currently touring the country with the Laneway festival, Joy will return to the US in March for gigs with Young The Giant and will also play his own showcase gigs at this year's SxSW in Texas.

Another Australian currently getting traction in the US charts this week is Sydney singer Betty Who, her Somebody Loves You single climbed from 18 to 16 in the Stateside Dance Club Songs chart last week and now spends its seventh week on that chart five spots higher at number 11.
