HIM Confirm Two Soundwave Sideshows

Nostalghia and The Defiled join them.

Finnish rockers HIM have thrilled their fiercely dedicated Australian fans with the announcement of a trip to Australia as a part of Soundwave, but it seems we ain't seen nothin' yet, as the band have now added a couple of sideshow dates to their already existing tour commitments.

The band have been around since 1991, when Ville Valo, Linde Lindström and Migé Paananen starting the band in humble fashion, probably not anticipating it would become as massive as it has – the band presently boasts stacks of platinum albums and so very many rave reviews for all their records, including last year's Tears On Tape.

The band's two sideshows are bound to be pretty damn special, made even moreso by the addition of fellow Soundwavians Nostalghia and The Defiled who will be in the support slots.

We've heard the gypsy punk show of Nostalghia is something to behold, a spiritual kind of experience that is primal and weird and generally very intriguing to be a part of in the live setting. As far as The Defiled go, their thrashy groove metal makes us want to go bananas, so we can't wait to do just that when they're out here next month.
