A star from Kickboxer, an editor from Game Of Thrones and a great tune.
Worldly Australian composer, singer-songwriter and all-round musical devotee David Bridie has looked gone just a little bit Hollywood in his new film clip and we're pleased to be able to bring it to you first this afternoon.
The clip is for Bridie's new single Shortest Day Of The Year, which was one of the highlights of his excellent 2013 LP Wake. It's a stripped back tune that has Bridie at his most unaffected and raw and the clip complements that very nicely.
Bridie has enlisted actor Haskell Vaughn Anderson III – who is best known for his role alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme in the 1989 classic (c'mon, you know it is) Kickboxer – to appear in the clip and very well renowned editor Sara Mineo – who's recently worked on Game Of Thrones – to help piece it all together.
We think you'll agree it's a beautiful song and a beautiful clip; check it out now!
