The Jezabels' second album The Brink is one of the most anticipated Australian album releases of the year, and out this Friday theMusic.com.au is over the moon to be able to present the exclusive full stream of the record prior to its release.

Announced this morning on the Groovin The Moo festival line-up (they're already playing Laneway), the record is currently triple j's feature album and showcases their growth as a writing and recording unit.

The record is out this Friday 31 January, through MGM.

We recently reviewed the record, writing, “Like [Hayley] Mary's vocals, each song, and the album as whole, swells and dives between soft and loud, up- and down-tempo, light and dark.”

The band themselves have admitted that this record has come from a darker place than their first, Prisoner, with Mary saying, “For me, writing is the self-deprecating, self-loathing stage. We all had our reasons for feeling low at various times, but I felt like I was on the brink of a lot of things on this album.

“Some of them good, some of them bad: youth and age, alternative and pop, giving up and pushing through. I guess hope is part of that. And also fear.”
