Jimmy Eat World, Panic! At The Disco, Alkaline Trio Confirm Two Sidewaves

If you're into big, slick, emo-tinged pop-punk tunes then Soundwave yet again has you covered in 2014. If that's not enough to satiate you, then three of the most revered acts in that style of music on the Soundwave bill will be dishing up extra helpings of their much loved music as they announce shows in Sydney and Melbourne for next month.

Jimmy Eat World are one of the real veterans of the modern power pop scene, the band celebrating 20 years together last year and releasing their eighth studio album at that same time. They've been Soundwave favourites in the past and manage to sustain a very excitable fanbase here in Australia, so we anticipate these shows will be very popular.

The Las Vegas group Panic! At The Disco have covered a vast array of genres in their time together, but one thing that remains certain is that they can write one hell of a pop song that has people of all ages feeling like they're kids again. It's crazy to think they've almost been at it ten years now, but we're all getting older…

Finally there's no doubting the legendary status of the brilliant Alkaline Trio. They have been slamming out fantastic punk rock for a long time and, while they'll probably never be “famous”, they've won the hearts of so many passionate fans over the years it'll make you wish you knew all the words when you go and see them play (presuming you don't already, of course).
