Soul collective Hiatus Kaiyote were definitely one of the surprise packets when the Grammy Award nominations were revealed late last year, now the group will get to showcase their sound to the Grammy audience during music's night of nights.

The band will perform as part of the pre-Grammy telecast this Sunday 26 January (Monday 27 here in Aus) just before the actual awards kick-off. Their performance will be streamed live on the official Grammys website between 8 to 10am on Monday.

The Melbourne based outfit are nominated for Best R&B Performance for their track Nakamarra, which features hip hop legend Q-Tip. Tame Impala, the Australian Chamber Orchestra and New Zealand songstress Lorde are also up for awards.
