The Aussie rockers are at number 11 ahead of their miniseries' debut

More INXS More INXS

Aussie rockers INXS have crept up the ARIA album charts to find themselves at number 11 this week, their The Very Best album not quite able to crack the top ten as we had predicted might happen earlier this week.

The sales boost for the band, who were in 17th spot last week, comes as audiences ready themselves for the forthcoming miniseries Never Tear Us Apart, which will air on the Seven Network some time in the next couple of months. You can take a look at scenes from the series here and here. This INXS best-of has spent 22 non-consecutive weeks in the chart since November 2011, this is its highest chart position so far.

Just the one new entry made it into the top 40 album charts this week, with US rapper Kid Ink securing 25th spot with his new record My Own Lane. Outside of the 40, recent visitors in support of Paramore, Twenty One Pilots, debuted on the ARIA charts in 51st position with their Vessel record, released in January last year.

Swedish singer-songwriter Kim Cesarion and everyone's favourite pop star du jour Miley Cyrus were the only two new entries in the top 40 singles chart this week, with Aussie pop duo Max & Bianca entering at 92 with Love Drunk, electro kings Stafford Brothers at 61 with Wicked Child (featuring Jason Herd & Sherry St. Germain) and kiwi duo Broods debut at 57 with Bridges.

Beyonce's self-titled LP remains the highest selling record of the week, enjoying its fifth week in the chart (and third at number one), Katy Perry's Prism stays at two and the soundtrack to Frozen leaps from 11 to third spot (and takes over the top spot on the Digital Albums chart - pushing Beyonce to two) while Avicii's True picks up a small sales boost as his tour fast approaches, finishing in fifth spot.

Pharrell Williams' Happy is still on top of the singles chart, trailed by Jason Derulo's Trumpets. Summer festival favourites London Grammar have seen their single Strong hit its highest spot in the 14 weeks it has been in the charts, ending the week in sixth spot.
