Black Metal Frontman Brutally Murdered For 'Tarnishing Satanism'

A Satanist has taken to Facebook to confess to the brutal murder of Samong Traisattha, frontman of Thai black metal band Surrender Of Divinity, who was found dead in his Bangkok home last week. Prakarn Harnphanbusakorn remains on the loose after a knife and a mobile phone belonging to him were found at the murder site and Police believe the Maleficent Meditation Facebook page, which gloats about the murder, belongs to him.

In a lengthy post he writes that he killed Samong because he was “tarnishing Satanism” and that it was not a case of him killing his hero – even referencing the death of John Lennon – and that he did not even like the band Surrender Of Divinty. He says he stabbed Samong somewhere in the vicinity of 30 times and a crude Google translation suggests the killing was incredibly graphic as Prakarn denied Samong's pleas for his life.

Worryingly Prakam has said that he intends on killing between 20 and 30 people though concedes he will find this difficult with Thai police on the constant lookout for him.

Samong's wife, Jaruvan Surapol, has confirmed that Prakarn was in their home having a drink with her husband and getting some t-shirts screenprinted. After putting their child to bed, Jaruvan returned to find her husband dead, the Bangkok Post reports. 

Prakarn reportedly posted photos of the murder scene as proof, but those photos have since been taken down from the social media site.
