Young artist fielding label and agency offers

Queensland melodic indie singer songwriter Hannah Karydas – aka Eves – has signed a management deal with Mucho Bravado's Ben Preece, with the agreement finalised on New Year's Eve morning.

A young artist, Karydas adopted the Eves moniker during the last six months of 2013 and single Zen is currently enjoying rotation on triple j - where she was also named as a Next Crop artist. She also released the single Heavy last year and is expected to release her debut EP in the first quarter of 2014.

Today Preece told theMusic.com.au that Eves was the first in the company's “next generation” of artists. Having previously worked with Ball Park Music, the now-defunct Hungry Kids Of Hungry and Andy Bull in a management capacity, Preece indicated the company was actively on the hunt to build a fresh roster in 2014.

It is believed that interest from labels, publishers and agents have led to offers being tabled to Eves already, but nothing has been confirmed. She is expected to tour with her band, featuring DJ James Wright (ex-Millions) and David Gaylard (Little Odessa), in the near future.
