The Sydney producer is simply unstoppable.

More Flume More Flume

Flume's complete and utter dominance has become even more profound this evening as his self-titled album has been crowned the winner of the J Award in 2013. Awarded by national youth radio network triple j, the award looks to honour the best album of the year and has been won by the like of Tame Impala (twice), Gotye, The Presets and Hilltop Hoods in the past.

While the ceremony took place in his hometown this afternoon, the winning Sydney-based EDM producer, who has rocketed to stardom in this country and made serious inroads to doing the same in a number of territories abroad, couldn't be there as he is currently on tour in the UK.

He beat out a list of fine Australian records, including the latest releases from The Drones, Cloud Control, Jagwar Ma, Boy & Bear and Karnivool, to name a few.

The Unearthed Artist Of The Year was also named at this afternoon's event, with Melbourne MC Remi the lucky – and deserving – artist picking up this prestigious honour. His singles Sangria and Saggin were triple j staples through much of the year and his appearances at some of the biggest and best festivals and hip hop shows over the past year and a bit have cemented him as a strong prospect on the already thriving Aussie hip hop scene.

He beat out a diverse range of acts that also included Jeremy Neale, Wave Racer and Dustin Tebbutt.

Clubfeet's Everyone You Wanted was voted the Music Video Of The Year, and this isn't the first time the clip has been given some serious major props this year. Back in April we reported on the band's clip being ripped off by Japanese band [Champagne], but all that has been put aside and the band are no doubt more excited by this honour than the borrowed idea. Josh Thomas of the Oh Yeah Wow collective is the director responsible for the clip.
