The much-loved event will spoil punters with talent this New Years

The Woodford Folk Festival is back to help you ring in the new year and it's boasting a line up that is bigger and better than ever.

For the 28th installment of the event, organisers have confirmed several diverse international acts, with English singer-songwriter Beth Orton leading the global charge. The award-winning artist, who was here this past May for a run of Heavenly Sounds shows in churches, will be joined by the likes of the iconic Tim Finn, Canadian indie rockers Half Moon Run and reggae royalty Julian Marley as some of the overseas contingent.

The local talent is very impressive also, with soulful singer-songwriter Matt Corby, Melbourne lads The Basics, the enchanting Clare Bowditch and Brissy duo Busby Marou all on the bill. WIthout further ado, here is the full line-up:

Beth Orton, The Basics, Clare Bowditch, Matt Corby, Tim Finn, Half Moon Run, Julian Marley, Busby Marou, Buffalo Tales, Chance Waters, Thelma Plum, Shellie Morris, Blue King Brown, Brendan Maclean, GANGgajang, Jordie Lane, Rose Cousins, Babylon Circus, Breabach, Rachel Sermanni, The Twoks

The Talks Programme is also back and will feature everyone from former PM Bob Hawke to funny lady Denise Scott. There will also be environmental workshops, children's shows, comedy acts and a whole heap of other entertainment.

The festival, proudly presented by The Music, will take place from December 27, 2013 until January 1, 2014 in the rural town of Woodford, Queensland. Full details of tickets are expected to be up on the official website shortly.
