Jamie Hutchings wants your help to record Infinity Broke's debut LP

Planning on making a musical comeback? Here's how to do it, the crowdfunding way...

Name: Infinity Broke
Project: New album
Current Status: 66 pledgers, $4,325 of a $5,000 goal, 53 days to go

You'll probably recognise the name Jamie Hutchings as that of the frontman for Sydney indie rock outfit Bluebottle Kiss. The outfit emerged pretty early on in the '90s and went on to release six studio albums and numerous EPs. Hutchings has been keeping busy as of late though with his new musical project Infinity Broke. Since January last year, Hutchings and his bandmates (including fellow Bluebottle Kiss member Jared Harrison) have been plugging away at their debut LP. They've recorded the album, but they need your help to get it mastered and pressed.

If you contribute towards their campaign, you can score yourself a copy of the album and so forth. But a pledge of say $120 will also get you some Bluebottle Kiss music plus some of Hutchings' solo workings. $3,000 will get you a private performance from the band anywhere in Australia with accomodation taken care of.

Name: Sam Lohs
Project: Help Sam Lohs release her 3rd album
Current Status: 20 pledgers, $1,756 of a $6,500 goal, 38 days to go

There's another blast from the past popping up in this week's crowdfunding update. Sam Lohs was the lead vocalist for Adelaide indie folk band Fruit, who formed in 1995. Their last album Burn was released in 2005 and not long after, the group went on hiatus. Lohs has released two solo albums since and wants to unveil her latest work to you. She also wants to make it clear that the money she makes from this campaign is not for a hip replacement...

Cough up $10 and Lohs believes you will get your dose of good karma purely because of your good deed. $180 will get you the new album - four copies to be exact plus a copy of one of her previous LPs - and a handwritten mexican rice recipe. Who doesn't love to eat while listening to new tunes?

ALSO IN CROWDFUNDING THIS WEEK

Another return this week comes in the shape of California's Ozma. They released four records during the early to mid 2000s. They came to prominence after touring with Weezer and it appears a 2012 reunion with their old tour pals has inspired the band to record album number five. They're offering supporters some pretty neat incentives, like SKYPE sessions and recording sit-ins but a percentage of all pledges made will go towards Lung Cancer research in a very kind gesture.
