Deni Blues and Roots Festival will return for its second year in 2014 and there will be a number of big name international acts and a few impressive Aussies on hand to entertain the crowd in Deniliquin.

We won't keep you waiting, here's the first lot of acts confirmed for the Easter event:

John Mayer, Dr John & The Nite Trippers, The Doobie Brothers, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Gary Clark Jr, Russell Morris, Jasmine Rae, Cash Savage and the Last Drinks

The festival had a great start to its existence this year, with the likes of Santana, Jason Mraz, Status Quo and Chris Isaak performing at the Deni Ute Muster site. Co-promoter Michael Chugg is more than happy with the second year's direction, particularly the emerging local talent that will be on offer.

"I'm very excited about the great young OZ acts that will strut their stuff alongside John Mayer, the legendary Dr John and more," he said.

Early bird tickets are available from Wednesday 16 October. General public tickets go on sale the following week on Monday 21 October.

Deni Blues and Roots Festival will take place from Saturday 19 to Sunday 20 April. More info on the event can be found here.
